I have giants up my hill

When I was a child the woods up Barkers hill, behind my home in Gisborne was a mystical and an enchanting place. Sometimes my imagination would run wild, I have vivid memories of being scared witless as the wind would be howling and the trees were groaning. I imagined the woods coming alive and giant woodland spirits descending upon my family and I.

Your task in life is to illustrate to others how beautiful this world is and how we are the gardeners of not only this land but our own souls. Your challenge in life is to keep your feet firmly on the ground as you tend to daydream; you need to avoid living in outer space completely, if you do visit the outer realms you must come back.

Eastern tides

Firstly I want to thank everyone who came down and supported my exhibition at Deluxe Cafe! 

What an amazing first solo exhibition, I'm still awe struck that I sold 11 out of my 15 Sculptures.

The support and enthusiasm towards my work was inspiring, thank you! 

 I'd like to thank all the staff for processing all the sales! 

I have named this new series of drifters the "Eastern Tides", for no matter where I go on this island, eventually the tidal pull of my home on the east coast becomes too strong to resist.

 Gisborne, on the East coast of New Zealand. 

These creations below are the beginning of a new series that I will be exhibiting at home in Gisborne

at my sister and her husband's new Design store / Gallery / Family hub,

appropriately named "The Family Design Store", located on Ormond Rd next to the Ballance St Dairy.

The exhibition will start in approximately in months time, but keep watching my blog for work updates and the confirmed dates.
